Earlier this month, Beyoncé’s longtime stylist, Ty Hunter, revealed that the “Formation” singer is prepping to release a new album. Although he did not reveal when fans should expect the album, it has been rumored that the project will be released in April.

As noted by HitsDailyDouble, the album, Beyoncé’s final project for Sony Music, will arrive in just a couple months. It is believed that the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced single, “Formation,” will be featured on the project.

“I’ve heard the new album. It’s beyond awesome, it’s great,” Hunter told Andy Cohen during an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live.

Although Bey has not confirmed the April release date, it would coincide with the launch of her Formation World Tour, which is set to kick off on April 27 at Marlins Field in Miami. The tour, which has already taken in over $100 million in ticket sales, will extend out in North America until June 14 when it wraps in Detroit. She will then take the tour overseas beginning on June 28 and hit a string of European cities until July 31.

Bey's last studio effort, her self-titled album, was released back in 2013 with no prior warning. The project has moved 2.3 million units.

At the end of December, it was reported that Beyoncé’s debut album, Dangerously In Love, surpassed 5 million units in U.S. sales. The album, released in 2003, sold just over 2,000 copies in the week ending Dec. 24.

Dangerously In Love, which featured the singles “Me, Myself and I,” “Baby Boy” with Sean Paul, “Naughty Girl” and the chart-topping “Crazy In Love” featuring her now hubby Jay Z, remains Beyoncé’s best-selling solo effort.

HDD also reported that Bey still has plans to release her long-rumored joint project with Jay Z before the year is out.
