After a year of dating, Mariah Carey got engaged with billionaire James Packer who proposed with a 35-carat engagement ring in January, and now some details about their upcoming wedding are revealed.

According to Mail Online, the couple will have a "private but lavish" ceremony in the Polynesian island of Tahiti, which will also involve the super yacht of Packer which he named Arctic P. The two fell in love while on the yacht this past summer.

“I’ve picked a lot of things that I can’t tell,” Carey said according to Radar Online. “It’s not going to be a big wedding, but it’s going to be grand. I’m most excited about the grandeur, darling.”

A source also revealed to the said outlet that Carey wants the wedding to be held on summer and that she wants them to get married in the Mediterranean region where they first fell in love. The source added that Carey wanted a few guests but the affair will be a lavish production.

“The most important thing about [the wedding] is the relationship and the connection and the love of it all, but of course, I love a grand moment. But we’re not going to have tons of people and stuff like that. It’s very private,” the "One Sweet Day" singer said in an interview with Access Hollywood.

It is also reported that the diva's wedding ring will be worth over $7 million featuring a large square-cut diamond. She even admitted feeling nervous about wearing it in public.

But there could be a hindrance to their wedding because even if the divorce of Carey from Nick Cannon is nearly finalized, Packer's divorce from ex-wife Erica Baxter will still take more time to process.

With that, a representative of Carey revealed that the wedding will currently be on hold especially since the singer presently has a busy schedule which includes her Las Vegas and world tour, Page Six reported. But apparently, with the statements of Carey, the two are already planning for their wedding.
