The #FreeKesha supporters have reached frenzied heights and are now set to storm Sony’s New York City headquarters and deliver petitions to the entertainment company in order to release Kesha from her contract. The mass march on Sony headquarters was organized following the intensive legal battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke and his Kemosabe label.

Thus far, the four petitions that are due to be delivered to Sony headquarters have 411,000 signatures according to Billboard.

“It’s time for Sony to step up and show that if they don’t value money over the safety and well-being of a woman and artist,” the Facebook event for the #FreeKesha movement says. “They have the power to #FreeKesha by not renewing their contract with Dr. Luke and cutting ties with Kemosabe.”

There are three organizations leading the march on Sony’s headquarters, including Care2 petition that holds 221,900 signatures to free the pop star in addition to two UltraViolet petitions that hold 69,900 signatures and a SumofUs petition that has 120,400 signatures.

The protesters are planning the protest for this Friday (March 11) at 2 P.M. ET. This far, Sony executives have given no commentary on the matter.

The protest follows the movement implemented by Care2 last month, where protesters stood outside of Sony’s headquarters on Feb. 26.

The lead organizer of the event Michael Eisele said in a statement at time time, “Kesha was offered by Sony to record music with producers other than Dr. Luke. However, Kesha is signed with Kemosabe, Dr. Luke’s recording label, which is under Sony Music’s umbrella. Therefore, any music Kesha is expected to release will be under his label, have his name on it, earn him profits and will be undoubtedly left to plummet … regardless of who the producer is.”

A lawyer for Sony, Scott Edelman, claimed that Sony was “not in a position to terminate the contractual relationship between Luke and Kesha” because that her signing in 2005 to Kasz Money, which is Dr. Luke’s company, gives him complete ownership over her music.
