Gwen Stefani is apparently madly in love with beau Blake Shelton as the couple's PDA photos surface but Stefani reveals that she was also surprised about her current romance and is still "in shock" of her divorce from ex-husband.

The 46-year-old singer recently talked about how she was linked to 39-year-old Shelton because of how their respective marriages ended at the same time.

He "had been going through literally the exact same thing in literally the exact same time frame," Stefani shares. "Never in my wildest, craziest dreams would I ever have seen this coming."

Stefani divorced her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale for reasons that she will not reveal but she said that the details about their separation are very "juicy." Although both parties wouldn't admit, there are reports saying that their split is due to the affair of the Bush front man to their children's nanny, People reported.

"If I could, I would just tell you everything, and you would just be in shock. It's a really good, juicy story," she said in an interview with The New York Times.

The No Doubt singer mentioned that her friendship with Shelton started to blossom when she returned to The Voice in 2015 prior to the divorce drama.

Meanwhile, Shelton ended his four years of marriage with Miranda Lambert last July. Stefani and Shelton then went public with their relationship last November.

Although Stefani now looks happy with the country singer, she revealed that her split from her 13-year marriage with Rossdale wasn't easy and still makes her emotional.

"I'm gonna die," she recalls about how she felt after the divorce. "I am dead, actually. How do I save myself? What am I going to do? How do I not go down like this?"

"I'm not going to say I'm not still picking up the pieces and every day isn't a challenge. I'm still in shock. But it's an awesome time," she added.

The "Make Me Like You" singer's new album This Is What the Truth Feels Like, which will be out next week, will feature songs about her divorce and also her new found love.

"We had anger, we had sadness, we had flirtation, we had sexy and now we're madly in love," said songwriter Justin Tranter, who worked with Stefani for the upcoming album, Billboard reported.
