It was reported at the beginning of the week that Madison House, the owner and operator of four-day EDM camping festival Electric Forest was bringing a new camping festival to the music rich market of Colorado. This was confirmed by officials and late yesterday the festival confirmed its name, Vertex, and unveiled its initial lineup. The three initial headliners are Odesza, the Alabama Shakes still riding high on their multiple Grammys wins and Phish's Trey Anastasio with his own band for two sets.

Also included on the lineup are Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, BadBadNotGood, Classixx, Duke Dumont, Dawes, Dopapod, Hiatus Kaiyote, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Ryan Hemsworth, Houndmouth, Graham Nash and Jai Wolf.

The lineup has a very strong presence of electronic acts, though there are plenty of rock and jam bands that will fit with the Madison House esthetic.

Unlike what previous reports had stated, the festival will only be three days, taking place from Aug. 5-7. The report cited a permit from Aug. 4 to Aug. 7, which could make sense for a pre-party or camping the night before.

The festival promises a "summer celebration of music, imagination and the best of the Colorado outdoors." The lineup thus far seems to have done a pretty good job in taking care of the music and it is situated in some beautiful scenery at Bueno Vista in the Colorado Mountains southwest of Denver and Colorado Springs. The festivalgoers will probably be good at bringing things to expand their imagination.

More artists will be announced as we get closer to August. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 25 at 12 p.m. MT. Pick them up via the festival's website. See the complete announced lineup below.
