According to new reports, seminal punk and hardcore music frontman H.R. of Bad Brains is suffering from terrible headaches called SUNCT, which is a rare neurobiological disorder. This news comes from an open letter from his caregiver and wife, Lori Hudson, who is also a clinical herbalist. H.R., whose real name is Paul D. Hudson, is one of the most influential hardcore singers of all time, who has touched countless fans over the years. He is hoping to raise $30,000 for the cost of treatment. This news has us all hoping for the best for H.R.

We recently reported on Bad Brains guitarist Gary "Dr. Know" Miller being hospitalized back in November. You can read more on that previous news right here.

According to Rolling Stone, the $30,000 that Hudson and his family are trying to raise is for treatment not covered by regular health insurance. From the details penned by Lori Hudson in her letter to fans, it looks like this could be his last avenue for help.

"To give you an idea of what he's dealing with, cluster headaches are nicknamed 'Suicide Syndrome.' The headaches come randomly, with no warning, at all hours of the day and night; but for him, they are much worse at night," she wrote, according to Punk News. "The intensity of the nighttime headaches is so great that he yells, cries out, groans, and sobs-repeatedly, every few minutes, for most of the night. He can't work. He has no quality of life. If you call him and ask how he is, he will say, 'Everything's okay,' because that's just how he is. But everything is not okay."

The GoFundMe page for H.R.'s treatment is currently live. Check it out right here. You can read more on this rare condition over on Wikipedia.
