What began as a simple radio show on the NYU airwaves in 1999, Beats In Space, has turned into one of the more important bastions of underground dance music in New York City on the airwaves and through a recently launched record label in 2011. Now founder Tim Sweeney is celebrating 20 releases on his label with a 23-track retrospective compilation titled Bis 001-020.
Some of the names on the compilation include the likes of Jaako Eino Kalevi, Tornado Wallace, Lauer, Dukes of Chutney and Paradis.
The compilation will be released on April 15 through Beats In Space. See the complete tracklist below but before you mark down your calendars, check out the Tom Noble remix of "House Of Spirits." The original will appear on the compilation, but the remix is a little extra to tide listeners over until April.
