A lot of incredibly exciting events took place at this year's Bonnaroo festival, but perhaps one of the highlights was when country star Dierks Bentley took to the stage to perform a couple of tracks alongside another familiar face –– The Office and Hangover star Ed Helms.

The musician joined Helms' Bluegrass Situation Superjam onstage, which stood as one of three "mash-ups" at this weekend's festival.

As one of the few mainstream country stars to take the stage at Bonnaroo – Bentley made his debut appearance at the festival back in 2007 – the musician was reportedly invited to join Helms' band after he texted the actor/comedian inquiring if he'd be in the video for "Drunk on a Plane." Of course, Helms didn't do it, but Bentley recently told Rolling Stone, "I texted him asking if he'd do it, knowing full well that he's just too big of a star to be in a music video."

"Drunk on a Plane" is now in the number two spot, so perhaps Helms should have agreed. Then again, we feel pretty confident saying the comedian is doing just fine.

And while he denied the offer for the music video, Helms did text back asking if Bentley would appear with him on the Bonnaroo stage. Which the country star reportedly answered saying, "Hell yeah! Are you kidding me? I'm always down for a bluegrass pickin', especially in front of an awesome crowd like this at Bonnaroo."

Needless to say, it was a stellar performance.

Also appearing in in Helms' Superjam were The Lonesome Trio, Sarah Jarosz, Lake Street Dive, The Black Lillies, The Lone Bellow, Robert Ellis, Della Mae, Bryan Sutton, and Dave Johnston of YMSB.
