Everyone's favorite headline, Kanye West, recently made an appearance at a seminar in the Cannes, France, where he dropped a few statements that have been nabbing some recognition. West spoke candidly about his opinions on the recent Apple and Beats Electronics deal, for which he delivered high praise. He then took a stab at Samsung, accusing the company of not being "Number One."

"There would have been no Beats deal without the Samsung deal," West said, according to AdWeek. "It showed the Number One company the importance of connecting with culture. The reason I said I didn't like Samsung particularly is because, throughout my entire life, because of how my parents raised me, I have to work with the Number One."

Naturally, West was labeling Apple as "Number One," and we can't blame him there.

The Yeezus producer then went on to list other ways in which his life always finds itself in constant contact with various Number One's, naming Jay Z, Kim Kardashian and Louis Vuitton. "I'm not going to represent any company but Louis Vuitton, because that's Number One... Samsung is not quite Apple, but it showed Jimmy Iovine and Dre would be able to connect with Number One influences."

So, congrats, Samsung; you're towards the top of Kanye's list... but not quite on top.

West was then asked his opinion on BlackBerry appointing musician Alicia Keys as the company's creative director. "I think it is ridiculous giving any celebrity a creative director role of anything," he responded. "There is only like three guys who I think could work like that, and that's Ryan Leslie, me and Will.I.Am, because we care about it. We're inside of it."

Is anyone else "stunned" he named himself in there?
