Grammy Award-winning trance DJ/producer Paul van Dyk has entered the world of fashion. He recently partnered with California brand TOMS to put out a line of shoes and eyewear featuring a galaxy-inspired design with van Dyk's signature triangle logo, Billboard reports.
He told Billboard that he is happy with the way the products came out, considering it is his first time working with designers. He was also excited about TOMS' One for One program, which for every shoe purchased one pair is given away, as well as their program that helps restore sight to someone for every pair of glasses purchased.
"As soon as I learned about their program it was a natural connection," he told them. "Supporting such programs is an important part of what I do. So when the idea to do something together came up it was a short conversation. TOMS and I had an immediate understanding about what is important: help people if you can. And if we can do so with a bit of style, much the better. I think we succeeded doing both here."
The TOMS x Paul van Dyk shoe collection is available in two styles: TOMS Classic for Men and Women for $59 and TOMS Paseo Mids for men for $70. The Beachmaster eyewear frames are going for $125. The full collection is available now on TOMS.com and in stores.
