The big festivals may get most of the love with their major headliners that rotate between the hot five or six names du jour that year and their lofty price tags, but the smaller local festivals can also be just as much fun without the crowds and at a bargain price. A new one on the circuit is Divide Music Festival out in the thriving music market of Colorado. It just announced its full 2016 lineup, topped by Edwarde Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Kid Cudi and The Fray.

The lineup has already been broken down by each day, with Friday headlined by their three marquee bookings in Edwarde Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Cake and Bleachers. The following day will have Kid Cudi, Saint Motel and Passion Pit, while the festival will be capped off on Sunday with The Fray, Miike Snow, Blondie and Jr Jr, among others.

The bill does not have a ton of names per day, but they choose quality over quantity with some nice diversity to the lineup. There is a mix of different types of bands ranging from folk, to indie rock to synth-pop, with a little hip-hop sprinkled in.

Divide Music Festival will take place July 22-24 in Winter Park, Colorado. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy music as well as go on mountain bike tours, guided trail runs, morning yoga sessions and other group-inspired activities.

The festival is partnering with the Grand Foundation, which seeks to improve the quality of life in the surrounding Grand County through health, arts, education and other areas. A portion of ticket proceeds will go directly to the foundation.

Three day and single day passes, plus camping tickets are on sale via the festival's website.
