UK house duo Dusky has announced a new compilation Floor to Floor on their label 17 Steps. The 12-track compilation features selections from the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Skream, Mella Dee and the label bosses, Dusky, themselves.
On their Facebook page, Dusky spoke about the type of tracks that they sought out for this compilation. "If you have heard us DJ over the past 12 months, you will have heard tracks from this collection," they wrote. "We've sought out tracks that combine artistic individuality with dancefloor utility."
This should be a big year for Dusky and their label. In addition to the compilation, Dusky are gearing up to release their new album Outer.
Floor To Floor will be available in full on June 3, however segments of it will be released in the weeks leading up to that. The first four tracks from Velvit "Looking Glass" to Lo Shea's "Thousand Waves" will be released on May 13 as a 12 inch and then on May 27 a second 12 incher will see the second batch of tracks released.
