MTV will be resurrecting its beloved countdown program Total Request Live for just one day this July, and the network is doing it for one of the summer's hottest music stars... Ariana Grande.

According to USA Today, the half-hour, one-off special Total Ariana Live will air at 7 p.m. on July 2 and the special will feature a live performance of her summer smash "Problem," information on her new album and the debut of her new single "Break Free."

Grande announced "Break Free" over the weekend on her Twitter, teasing a 10-day countdown for the collaboration with Zedd.

"Break Free" is the second single from Grande's upcoming sophomore effort, which has yet to receive a title. Her new album, the follow-up to her 2013 debut effort Yours Truly, is anticipated for an August or September release.

This summer marks unprecedented success for Grande, whose single "Problem" (feat. Iggy Azalea) is one of the top contenders for the coveted "Song of the Summer" title. Thus far, the song has peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Digital Downloads chart for several weeks, becoming the fastest-selling song of 2014.

MTV's short revival of TRL follows the longtime program's cancellation in 2008. Hosted by Carson Daly and eventually Damian Fahey, the daily music countdown was a major staple in MTV's programming in the '90s and 2000s. Despite the show's major influence in the realm of pop, it began to suffer declining ratings and MTV pulled the plug on TRL after 10 years.
