Sia wants women to know that it's OK to let it all out. Yesterday (June 25), the "Chandelier" pop star/songwriter released a new song from her upcoming album 1000 Forms Of Fear "Big Girls Cry" and showed off the beauty in vulnerability.

"Big Girls Cry" seems to immediately take on the classic 1962 The Four Seasons' record "Big Girls Don't Cry," which says adult women don't need to cry in the wake of heartbreak, which Sia immediately and repeatedly dismisses in the song's chorus.

"I may cry, ruin my makeup / Wash away all the things you've taken / I don't care if I don't look pretty / Big girls cry when their hearts are breaking," she sings loudly and proudly.

Besides the tear and emotion-positive message, "Big Girls Cry" is a bombastic mid-tempo anthem from 1000 Forms Of Fear, not unlike the album's two previously released tracks "Chandelier" and "Eye of the Needle."

Sia's vocals are blasted in the mix, with hints of bass drums and a keyboard melody (somewhat reminiscent of the one-hit wonder track "Leave (Get Out)" by JoJo) play deep in the background. The instrumental backing gets blasted for the chorus with an epic crescendo, building alongside the tearful ability of this song.
