Troy Ave is being formally indicted following the shooting at a T.I. concert at Irving Plaza in New York City. While the specifics of what the rapper is being charged with are not yet known, it will be revealed on June 22 when he returns to court.

The Brooklyn based rapper, real name Roland Collins, was not in court during the official indictment with the grand jury according to SPIN.

The original arrest came following surveillance footage being found of Collins firing his gun at an unseen target at the Irving Plaza concert. The shooting resulted in four wounded and the rapper’s bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, being killed. Collins was additionally shot in the leg during the incident and was brought to the hospital. Police released information that ballistic tests matched up with the shell casings found at the venue, as well as the semiautomatic pistol retrieved from a vehicle.

Las week, Collins was brought to a Manhattan court but pleaded not guilty to all charges that were brought forth. On May 31, Collins was charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, and was held without bail. The Daily News reported that bail will not be granted until the trial begins.

In a statement released to the press, his attorney, Scott Leemon, said, “What really happened here is Mr. Collins is the real victim. The person who was killed at the event, he died a hero. He was his bodyguard. He wasn’t shot by Mr. Collins. He was a lifelong friend.”

The attorney further asserted that it was impossible to decipher what really happened in only 11 seconds of footage. “It doesn’t say what happened before, it doesn’t say what happened after,” the statement further read.

Collins has also released a mixtape entitled Free Troy Ave, which seemingly describes the incident in the intro track.
