England's own Glastonbury Festival went down this weekend to much success, and country legend Dolly Parton was happily there to both shower the 150,000 concertgoers with her hits as well as fulfill a lifelong dream.

On the stage, Parton admitted that performing at Glastonbury, which is famed for being one of the summer's biggest events, was an absolute dream and something she's been hoping to do throughout her career. The singer then performed a number of hits for the crowd alongside a special song she wrote about mud to kick off her time at Glastonbury, despite the fair weather during her show.

Before taking to the stage, the music icon told the press that due to the festival's timetable she was forced to cut the length of her show a bit, and therefore, chose to perform more upbeat numbers. She stated, "I thought, well, I can't do a bunch of sad, slow songs because everybody is drunk and high and we don't want to bring them down that bad, so there are two or three songs that they have to hear like maybe 'Coat of Many Colors' and a few that are a part of my whole life and my background."

Parton continued, adding, "But we've tried to do a set where we can kind of keep it moving pretty good."

Now 68-years-old and still moving strong in the music industry, Parton has no plan to stop, saying, "I hope to never retire and I'm up there now and I enjoy every bit of it. I wake up every day with new dreams, so I feel like I'm just starting out."
