Singer, songwriter, producer and multitalented instrumentalist Ben Folds recently announced plans for a North American headlining tour to last throughout the fall months. Kicking off in September in the singer's hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina, "A Piano & A Playpen" will span for 33 dates across the country, making stops in cities like Albany, Madison, Ventura and more before wrapping up in November.

The tour is expected to be reminiscent of Folds' first solo tour in 2001, and so tickets for this upcoming trek aren't expected to last on the primary market. Currently, the secondary market has tickets averaging $144 across all dates. Folds will be making stops at several cities across the country including The National in Richmond on Sept. 17, where tickets are averaging $81 with the cheapest ticket up for grabs for $59, according to data provided by ticket aggregator TiqIQ. On Sept. 21, Folds will appear at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey. Here, tickets are averaging $132, with the cheapest ticket available for $105.

On Sept. 22, Folds will make his priciest stop in New Haven, Connecticut at the College Street Music Hall, where tickets are averaging $200, with the cheapest ticket going for $85. Towards the end of his route, Folds will be in Des Moines, Iowa at the Hoyt Sherman Place Theatre on Nov. 6, where tickets for this show are currently averaging $164. Parking in Des Moines, as well as several other stops across his touring route, can be found easily and secured ahead of time through Parkwhiz.com.

Ben Folds, who is also known for his years fronting his band Ben Folds Five, spent this past spring on the road with the Brooklyn-based chamber ensemble yMusic in support of his release of So There, a two-part album composed of chamber pop and original piano concertos.
