The title of "song of the summer" is always heavily debated by critics and fans every year. With streaming data we now have another measure to see which songs are the ones having the biggest impact globally. Spotify has released its data on what were the most streamed songs this summer. Among the artists who dominate the US and global rankings include Drake, The Chainsmokers, Sia and Rihanna.

Drake's "One Dance" owns the top spot for both the U.S. and global rankings, but from there things start to deviate. The top 10 is comprised of many of the same songs like The Chainsmokers "Don't Let Me Down," "This Is What You Came For," "Panda" and "Cheap Thrills," but they are in different order. Globally, the world is much more into Justin Timberlake and Shawn Mendes than the United States, whereas Drake has three songs in the top 4.
