The Australian version of the Grammys, the ARIA Awards, has announced its 2016 nominees. Flume leads the pack by a wide margin with 11 nominations in total. He is followed by Troye Sivan with seven and The Avalanches, Sia and Illy all with six.

Flume's album Skin dominates the proceedings. It is up for album of the year and the single "Never Be Like You" is up for song of the year. He is also going for a repeat of Best Male Artist.

Sia, Troye Sivan, The Avalanches and Rufus are all competing against Flume for album of the year.

Others with multiple nominations include Rufus, Violent Soho, Bernard Fanning, King Gizzrd & The Lizard Wizard and Courtney Barnett.

The ARIA Awards are a celebration of Australian music and their artists, but it also has a best international artist category. Adele, Drake, One Direction, The Weeknd, Taylor Swift and twenty one pilots are among those nominated in that category.

Fans can vote for some categories but only if they live in Australia. Head to the ARIA website to do so.
