Justin Bieber told fans to “take a chill pill” at a recent concert in England. It’s understandable considering fans have been screaming for Bieber since his career began ten years ago. This past Tuesday (Oct. 18) at the Birmingham stop of his Purpose World Tour he finally asked his fans to stop.

“Hey, guys, could you do me a favor?” Bieber said to the crowd in a video posted by a fan. “Could you guys just relax? For, like, two seconds?… I get it, but I’m like two feet away from you, and I can hear you. I appreciate it, I appreciate all the love, it’s amazing, but can you show it in a different way?”

“The screaming is just so obnoxious,” he further said. “I get it, it’s been in our blood, it’s ingrained that you go to a concert and you scream and stuff. But, if we could just scream after the song - enjoy the song, you scream, it was awesome, it’s fun, and then… you take a chill pill for a second, and we just listen to me speak. ‘Cause I don’t feel like I’m being heard sometimes, and it gets a little frustrating. So if when I’m speaking, you guys could not speak at the top of your lungs, is that cool with you guys? Could we do that?”

After asking his fans to calm down, Bieber then thanked them for keeping him company while he is on the road.

In addition to his Purpose World Tour, Bieber will also be performing at the 12-date Jingle Ball Tour along with Diplo, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Bruno Mars and Meghan Trainor. The line-up varies from city to city and will also include Daya, Alessia Cara, The Chainsmokers, Fifth Harmony, Charlie Puth, DNCE and Ellie Goulding.
