Bonobo has announced the details for a new album Migration, including features, release date a live tour coming in 2017.

The album title comes with more profound meaning, as the movement of people seems to mean more than it has in a long time. Bonobo plays into that idea.

"My own personal idea of identity has played into this record and the theme of migration," Green explains. "Is home where you are or where you are from, when you move around?"

"The study of people and spaces," he expands, "It's interesting how one person will take an influence from one part of the world and move with that influence and effect another part of the world. Over time, the identities of places evolve."

Bonobo, real name Simon Green, will release his new album Migration on Jan. 13 via his label home Ninja Tune. The 12-track LP has features from Rhye, Nicole Miglis, Innov Gnawa and Nick Murphy (formerly Chet Faker). Fans can pre-order the album here. This is his first album since 2013's Northern Borders
