Taylor Swift is encouraging fans to vote today with a selfie she took while in line to do so herself. The “Blank Space” singer has remained relatively quiet during the election, but made sure to post to her Instagram account today (Nov. 8) in an effort to reach her 92.9 million followers.

The post shows Swift in jeans waiting by a “VOTERS ENTRANCE” sign where she was waiting to vote.

“Today is the day,” she wrote on the post. “Go out and VOTE us.”

Billboard reports that Swift threw a birthday party for Lorde last night as well as posting a homemade card she made for the “Royals” singer to her account.

“Thank you for the music you make, the advice you give, the thoughts you provoke, and the way you’ve made my life more beautiful since the first day we met up in New York and ate burgers on a park bench and got attacked by squirrels,” Swift wrote on the post.

The party reportedly took place at Carbone restaurant in the Soho neighborhood of New York City and several photos from the event were posted to Lorde’s Instagram account. Swift and Lorde were joined by a bevy of celebrity friends, including Lena Dunham, Aziz Ansari, Karlie Kloss, Mae Whitman and Rachel Antonoff. See posts shared from Lorde’s birthday party below:
