Spotify recently released its list of the most-streamed and most-viral songs of 2014 so far. Topping the list for both Most-Streamed Song Globally and Most-Streamed Song In United States is Katy Perry's "Dark Horse." The track also reached No. 3 on The Most-Streamed Song In The U.K. It amassed more streams that any other song in the world with more than 142 million streams over the last six months.
Other songs that made the list in all three categories was Pitbull's "Timber," reaching No. 2 globally, No. 6 in the United States, and No. 2 in the U.K.; John Legend's "All of Me" reaching No. 5 globally and No. 4 in the U.S. and U.K.; and OneRepublic's "Counting Stars" reaching No. 4 globally, No. 7 in the U.S., and No. 9 in the U.K.
The Most-Viral Song on Spotify is Lana Del Rey's "Once Upon A Dream," her contribution to the Maleficent soundtrack. Coming in second is Soko's "We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow," which appeared on the massively viral video "First Kiss" and amassed more than 85 million views on YouTube.
