Justice has at last delivered their first Essential Mix in nine years. Gaspard Auge and Xavier De Rosnay, better known as French electronic duo Justice, released their third artist album Woman almost one month ago and after a slight delay, they have shared their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. The mix covers a wide range of genres with selections from the likes of Frank Ocean, Gesaffelstein, M83 and more.

They embrace that maverick attitude in their introduction to the mix.

"We made this Essential Mix to show another side of the music that we love, and don't really get to play in clubs or festivals," the duo said. "It's slow, moody and heavy. We hope you enjoy the ride."

Other names that are mixed into this Essential Mix include Prince, Tame Impala, The Flaming Lips, Miguel and John Carpenter. There is a bit of something for everyone through the two hours of music from Justice. It is a shame BBC already did their best of 2016 voting for their Essential mixes this year.

There isn't any new Justice, like what was heard on their 2007 mix, but three songs from their discography do appear.

Listen to the mix below or on BBC and follow along with the tracklist.
