Bonobo and Nick Murphy (fka Chet Faker) have teamed up on the moody new single "No Reason." The collaboration is lifted from Bonobo's upcoming album Migration that is being released imminently - this Friday, Jan. 13.

The seemingly obvious collaboration calls into mind some of the housier songs that Nick Murphy has done over the years, including the deeper stuff he did with Marcus Maar. Bonobo's soft, soothing melodies and subtle rhythms are the perfect match for Murphy's gentle cooing as the song gently builds and crests like small waves against a beach.

The single release comes with a longer seven and a half minute version that stretches out the instrumental and then a four-minute cut that will likely be on the album.

This is the third single to emerge from Bonobo's Migration. It follows his ethereal singles "Break Apart" featuring Rhye and "Kerala." In addition to Rhye & Nick Murphy, the 12-track LP will feature Nicole Miglis of Hundred Waters and Moroccan band Innov Gnawa.

To support his album, Bonobo has announced live tour dates across North America in the spring. Nick Murphy will join Bonobo on his May 12 date in Colorado that is being held at Red Rocks. Get all of the details for the tour here.
