Music Times recently reported that 50 Cent's G-Unit supergroup would be reuniting for an album and a mixtape. While the reunion has been receiving the thumbs up from fans, former G-Unit affiliate Bang Em Smurf says they're in for disappointment.

As XXL reports, Smurf says the Unit is no longer a marketable brand. He says 50 has burned too many bridges in the industry for him and his crew to ever recover.

Smurf noted the low sales of 50's recent release Animal Ambition to support his stance.

"[The reunion] ain't gonna work," Smurf said during an interview with Mikey T, The Movie Star. "It ain't gonna last. It ain't gonna get no money, cause they ain't selling no more units. 50′s Animal Ambition just dropped some weeks ago, and he flopped. Once he flops, then G-Unit is gonna flop even extra hard."

Smurf says money is the driving force behind the reunion claiming the other members of G-Unit are broke.

"At the end of the day, they money getting low," Smurf said. "So they had no choice but to run back to 50 because 50 got them in contracts and he won't let them out. Remember at the end of the day the industry don't fuck with 50 and these niggas no more."

Smurf may have a point there.

As previously reported, Young Buck spoke out on the reunion with Whoolywood Shuffle saying, "It's a good look. First and foremost, it ain't no bulls**t where it's about a check. You know what I'm saying? From the very beginning, 50′s always been the big brother. You know, s**t happens and that's what happened. But real s**t always makes yourself stronger...in some kind of way. Sometimes things don't go as planned and sometimes it do, but if it's real, it's always gonna be there and that's what it was...We movin', my n***a. G-Unit, nigga. That's what it's been."
