LeAnn Rimes and her husband Eddie Cibrian have been tabloid targets and now they're giving the people something to talk about.

According to Billboard, the couple has officially signed on to a VH1 reality show.

The couple plans to keep Cibrian's two sons with ex-wife Brandi Glanville out of it.

Glanville, who appears on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has a history of rocky exchanges with Rimes and Cibrian.

"We do discuss Eddie's ex-wife when it needed to be discussed," Rimes told the summer TV critics' meeting. "You can't really do a show without talking about that."

Cibrian insists the couple did not sign on to fire back at their critics, they simply want to mock the rumors that have surrounded them.

Critics came down hard on the two when they got together in 2009. Both were married to others at the time.

"Everyone has used our lives as entertainment, and so we wanted to actually kind of take our life back and have fun with our story," Rimes said.

Billboard says it was Rimes and Cibrian who pitched the show to the network and producers ran with it.

There are some things that are kind of embarrassing that we left on this because we thought it was funny," Cibrian assured.

As we have seen in the past, reality television can put a strain on relationships.

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson and Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom all divorced, while rapper T.I. and wife Tiny, who also starred in a VH1 reality show, recently had some troubles in their marriage.
