DC Extended Universe got big inspiration from"Wonder Woman's" $797 million earnings and has caused more budgets and coupled with the risk to almost change the outcome of the upcoming movie "Justice League."The turn of events started with the unexpected exit of Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon has to take charge of the changes for the movie. Whedon was known for his movies "The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron" and Marvel wants to impart the same optimism and lightness to Warner Bros. movies as shown on the success of "Wonder Woman."
It seems that the dark and grim tone of most Warner Bros. movies like "Batman v. Superman", "Suicide Squad" and "Man of Steel" has not anymore appealed to most viewers as reported by SlashFilm. "Wonder Woman" have shown positivity, candor, and openness to its movie tone and DCEU want to have it in "Justice League." Just so to catch up, some characters were made to be lighter toned than before as such, Victor Stone aka Cyborg was treated a make over.
In an interview with Joe Morton, the "What Lies Beneath" actor portrays the doctor/father of his dying son Victor Stone who was severely injured in a football game. Dr. Silas Stone made him a product of cybernetic technology, thus Cyborg was born who is burdened and gloomy on his comic book character, Forbes reports. But Joss Whedon was hired for a reason, making his character more appealing and attractive for the DCEU viewers, thus a tonal shift was done and new body parts for Ray Fisher's character.
The gruesome two months reshooting of "Justice League" costs about $25 million as not only Cyborg's aura was lightened up, the original movie was thoroughly refurbished. For a big project like this, untoward events in the production are expected just so the fruit of their hard work is paid by a whopping box office hit. "Justice League" is set to premiere on Nov 17 and their double-time efforts means another blockbuster hit in the making.
