The night every artists and fan were waiting just happened on Sunday for its 32ndyear to give the coveted Moon Person awards. MTV Video Music Awards 2017 at the Forum, Inglewood, California which was hosted by Katy Perry was a successful event and equally victorious are the winners of this event. Going through all the categories and nominees, each of these artists hoped to get the first Artist of the Year Award and Best Fight Against the System Award which is the highlights of this year's award.

PEOPLE already has the list of categories with its corresponding nominees and the winners for each. Kendrick Lamar's name has been all over the scene as he gets nominated eight times and bagged six of these winning Video of the Year for "Humble", Best Hip Hop, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, Best Art Direction and Best Visual Effects. Other winners include Khalid for Best New Artist, Zayn & Taylor Swift - "I Don't Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker)" for Best Collaboration, Fifth Harmony ft. Gucci Mane - "Down" for Best Pop, Zedd, and Alessia Cara - "Stay" for Best Dance.

In a report from Billboard, the song of Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi, Feat. Justin Bieber - "Despacito (Remix)" did not make it to Song of Summer instead Lil Uzi Vert - "XO Tour Llif3" gets the award. While all the nominees of Best Fight Against the System were honored to receive the award, one of them were from Alessia Cara for her song"Scars To Your Beautiful" and John Legend's "Surefire." Ed Sheeranended up as the Artist of the Year that night against Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Lorde.

The award for Best Rock went to Twenty One Pilots - "Heavydirtysoul", Best Choreography for Kanye West - "Fade and Best Editing by Young Thug in "Wyclef Jean." Pink received one of MTV VMAs' highest honors, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
