If there’s something that “Outlander” fans can’t wait to see in the upcoming Season 3 is Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) reunion. As what happened in Diana Gabaldon’s book “Voyager,” from which the new season was based, the lovers will reunite in a print shop for the first time in two decades.

This much was revealed in the new “Outlander” trailer. In its last moments, Claire approaches a building with an intricate store sign that says “A. Malcolm: Printer and Bookseller.” It turns out that Jamie’s middle names are Alexander Malcolm which was perhaps why Claire was seen smiling in the preview. At the same time, she looks nervous.

Heughan himself has previously teased fans regarding the highly anticipated print shop scene on Twitter reports Entertainment Weekly. He confirmed that they were filming the scene right then. Before that, producer Matthew B. Roberts posted a photo of the script that gave the print shop scene away to the fans.

Meanwhile, Balfe said in an interview with Vanity Fair that the cast know how important that scene is to “Outlander” fans even before it was shot. “The first thing everyone talks about is the print shop [where Jamie and Claire are reunited after decades apart],” Balfe explained.

The actress added that it was always the first thing that fans ask her. Fans even tell her that the “Outlander” tv version can’t change even one line from the book version. Balfe said that the writers are well aware that they have to do the fans right.

It is not yet known which episode of “Outlander” Season 3 the print shop scene will be in. From the trailer, it shows Claire back in the 20th century and raising Brianna (Sophie Skelton) with Frank (Tobias Menzies). Jamie, meanwhile, is still in the 18th century and is in trouble. He is shown returning home to his sister only to discover the authorities waiting to arrest him.

Moore said that the upcoming season of “Outlander” will look and feel completely different from the past seasons. Each season is a completely different experience just like each book of the series. He said that he is excited because Jamie and Claire’s story will advance dramatically and “once again the show is evolving and sort of ever changing.”

It will definitely be an emotional reunion for Claire and Jamie and surely the fans can hardly wait. They haven’t have to wait for long, however, as “Outlander” is set to return on September 10 on STARZ.
