This Friday, “Hawaii Five-O” Season 8 will feature Chris Vance’s return as Harry Langford. This was supposed to be aired last week but instead, it gave way to the episode of the big debuts of he task force’s newest member, Junior Reign, and Eddie the dog. There are speculations that this may have something to do with the horrific mass shooting in Las Vegas earlier in the week.

The episode rescheduling could be because of CBS showing sensitivity given that the synopsis indicates that the episode titled “Kāu pahi, ko’u kua. Kāu pū, ko’u po’o” will be somewhat violent. According to Cartermatt, the Task Force calls on an old friend to help when the boss of a major crime family is murdered which triggers revenge killings across the island.

On a lighter note, MacGarett (Alex O’Loughlin) and Danny (Scott Caan) will be sorting out details of their new restaurant venture in the upcoming “Hawaii Five-O” Season 8 episode. The viewers will probably be given more particulars as to what they want the food to be and how it would look like. Whether the partners’ restaurant idea will come to fruition in the course of the season remains to be seen, however.

In episode 2 of “Hawaii Five-O” Season 8 that was moved up a week due to the rescheduling, Eddie made its his debut. He is an injured Afghanistan veteran dog now working for the DEA. Paul, his handler, got killed in an ambush and Steve discovered the injured Eddie in a shipping container.

McGarrett all but adopted him even if he was supposed to be returned to the DEA reports TV Fanatic. Eddie could be a potential Task Force member if he can be trained to sniff other threats like explosives. Meanwhile, another member is making his way as a new member of the team.

Junior Reigns (Beulah Koale) was also introduced in episode 2 of “Hawaii Five-O” Season 8 and he was mostly seen getting to the good side of McGarrett like visiting him at home and then washing his car. At first, McGarrett said there was no room for Junior at the Task Force but with Kono not coming back anytime soon, he began having second thoughts.

Steve said Junior would have to attend the police academy before he can join them in the Task Force. How long before Junior will be welcomed as a full-pledged member of the team? Will Eddie make it as well? Find out in the coming episodes of “Hawaii Five-O” Season 8, Fridays on CBS.
