Colin Firth recently vowed to not work with Woody Allen ever again. The actor's announcement came just days after Allen's estranged daughter, Dylan Farrow, opened up about her sexual abuse allegations against the director.
During a recent interview, Firth said that he has no plans to team up with Allen again. The actor starred in Allen's 2013 film, Magic in the Moonlight. Several actors also said that they regret working with Allen in the past. Mira Sorvino even showed support for Dylan and told her that she believes her story.
Dylan Farrow Accuses Woody Allen Of Sexual Abuse
Farrow, 32, accused Allen of sexually molesting her as a child. She also accused Hollywood of turning a blind eye to the issue since Allen continues to direct films even after she shared her story. Allen has since denied all the allegations and even dubbed them as "disgraceful."
Allen's other child, Ronan Farrow, also condemned the media for not asking Allen about his sister's allegations. The Blue Jasmine director responded to his son's column and said he is not interested in tabloid gossip. Following Dylan's Thursday interview, Allen once again denied all of the accusations against him.
"When this claim was first made more than 25 years ago, it was thoroughly investigated by both the Child Sexual Abuse Clinic of the Yale-New Haven Hospital and New York State Child Welfare. They both did so for many months and independently concluded that no molestation had ever taken place. Instead, they found it likely a vulnerable child had been coached to tell the story by her angry mother during a contentious breakup," said Allen.
Mia Farrow Shares Her Story
Allen and Dylan's mom, Mia Farrow, were together for 13 years. In an interview, Mia supported her daughter's claims that Allen abused her in their attic when she was just 7 years old. Allen allegedly kissed his daughter all over her body and touched her private part.
Following the incident, Mia told her ex-husband, Frank Sinatra, about what just happened. Hours later, she received instructions to meet an unnamed man so she and her daughter could be protected from Allen.
Allen asserted that Mia's story was untrue and said that his ex-wife was the one who convinced Dylan to lie even in court. Allen's sexual abuse allegations once again made headlines after Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual harassment by 84 women in Hollywood. The disgraced producer has since apologized for his wrongful deeds.
