Welcome to Tour Journals, a Music Times segment where we ask some of our favorite up-and-coming bands to send us a dispatch from the road. This time around, we've asked Jimkata frontman Evan Friedell to keep a journal on tour with him. Last week, Evan reflected on the power of music festivals to bring good energy in numbers. This week, he gives us newly edited behind-the-scenes tour footage that chronicles the band's early years. Check back next week for more!

In the fall of 2011 we started to tour more heavily. We were excited for the journey and decided to bring along a video camera with the idea that we would make these tour videos that we could post regularly. Well, nearly three years later I stumbled upon the old footage that I kept saying I would make a video with and finally did it! It covers some of our first studio sessions for Die Digital, a few different live shows including a raucous show at The Blockley in Philly (R.I.P.), and various road antics like the time we arrived at a gig and became a part of a Christmas parade. There's a little more hair and more red suit! Enjoy!
