Dua Lipa treats her fans to a new song. Her track titled "High" is included in the official soundtrack for Fifty Shades Freed.
Lipa dropped the track a day before the official release of Fifty Shades Freed. The beat for "High" came from an 18-year-old producer from Chicago. Whethan revealed that the song was inspired by alternative and bedroom pop.
"I wanted to go in a new direction with this song and I think it shows more of my alternative side. I've been influenced by a lot of alternative and bedroom pop lately, so it's exciting for me to start to show this new style," said Whethan.This is the first time I've had my song in a movie and I've been waiting for this one to come out for a long time, I hope you're as excited as I am."
Dua Lipa Talks About Her Future Plans
In January, Lipa announced that she collaborated with Whethan for "High" and said that the song will be released on Feb. 8. Some of Lipa's hit songs include "New Rules," "IDGAF," "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)," and more. Last year, she talked about her music career and said that she wants to grow in the industry.
"Every time you achieve something, you want to go after what's next. I'd like to see my own shows grow and someday be a headliner, fill up stadiums. That'd be crazy, we'll see what happens. You've got to work a lot to make it where you want to be," said Lipa.
The Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack also features Hailee Steinfeld's "Capital Letters," Julia Michaels' "Heaven," Rita Ora and Liam Payne's "For You," Sabrina Claudio's "Cross Your Mind," Miike Snow's "Change Your Mind," and the like. The entire album is now available on Spotify and Apple Music.
Movie Synopsis
Meanwhile, Fifty Shades Freed centers on Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey's (Jamie Dornan) life after tying the knot. At first, the couple will get to enjoy their new status as a married couple, but they will soon learn that marriage entails a lot of hard work.
Anastasia's former boss, Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson), will continue to make her life miserable. The lead female character will also find out that she is pregnant, and Christian may not necessarily be happy about the news. Additionally, Christian's sister, Mia Grey (Ora), will be kidnapped in the movie.
