John Legend will be serenading his fans for the East Asian leg of his Darkness and Light Tour. The concert series will run throughout March. 

The 39-year-old is currently promoting his latest album, Darkness And Light, which was released back in 2016. 

In addition, in light of Legend's upcoming trek to Asia, Sony Music will release an "Asia Tour Edition" of the singer's fifth studio album. It will feature eight of his biggest hits including "All Of Me" and "Ordinary People."

The singer/actor announced the new leg of his tour on Twitter. He will be performing in China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines.

March 6 - CR Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in Shenzhen, China

March 8 - Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China

March 10 - Asia World Expo in Hongkong, Hongkong

March 12 and 13 - Ex Theatre Roppongi in Tokyo, Japan

March 15 - Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea

March 17 - The Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands, Malaysia

March 19 - Nangang Exhibition C3 Plaza in Taipei, Taiwan

March 21 - Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines

March 23 -Bitec in Bangkok, Thailand

Darkness And Light featured 12 tracks including "I Know Better," "Love Me Now," and "Right By You." It also featured performances from Chance The Rapper, Miguel, and Brittany Howard. The album peaked at the number 14 of the Billboard 200 in December 2016 and stayed on the chart for 15 weeks. 

Future Productions

Legend will next be seen in NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar Live with Sara Bareilles. The special will also star rock icon Alice Cooper as King Herod. 

The upcoming rock opera is the next offering from the network's series of live musicals which, in the past, presented Peter Pan, The Sound of Music, Hairspray, and The Wiz

Jesus Christ Superstar Live will air on April 1, Easter Sunday, on NBC. 

 

Legend also produced the movie Monster, a story about a teenager incarcerated at a juvenile detention center in New York City for robbery and murder. It stars Jennifer Ehle, Jeffrey Wright, and Jennifer Hudson. Anthony Mandler directed the movie based on the award-winning novel by Walter Dean Myers. 

The movie already premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah in January. 

The singer is also expecting his second child with his wife, supermodel and television host Chrissy Teigen
