Machine Gun Kelly released the official music video for "The Break Up" on Valentine's Day. The clip, which is just over three minutes, dropped on Valentine's Day.

The music video opens with the rapper dialing a woman's number on a yellow-colored telephone. After the woman picks up the phone, Kelly starts rapping the lyrics to his song. Kelly shares all of his grievances to the woman, but it appears that she is not listening.

"The Break Up," which was released in December, is included in Kelly's third LP Bloom. Last year, the 27-year-old rapper also collaborated with X Ambassadors and Bebe Rexha in the song "Home." The track is featured in Will Smith's movie Bright. Also in 2017, Kelly reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his song "Bad Things" featuring Camila Cabello.

Machine Gun Kelly Talks About Camila Cabello Collaboration

Following the success of "Bad Things," Kelly talked about the song and said that it became a huge hit because of his chemistry with Cabello.

"There's something about America's sweetheart and America's bad boy. That juxtaposition is what everyone desires. Prior to this it was 'Bonnie and Clyde' from Jay and Beyoncé, going back further you have Romeo and Juliet,'" said Kelly.

Cabello also felt an instant connection to "Bad Things" the first time she heard it. She dubbed the single as sexy because it is about a good girl who is in love with a bad boy, and everyone can relate to it.

While recording their song, Kelly and Cabello were almost always on FaceTime to discuss the direction of "Bad Things." Both artists are self-confessed perfectionists, so they wanted to make sure that their song will be perfect. After it was released, it became a huge hit.

MGK's 'The Break Up' Website

Other than the music video for "The Break Up," Kelly also launched a website called 1800thebreakup.com. Yellow, black, and white hues dominate the website design, and the content is all about what people should do if they want to break up with someone. Pressing the "End It" tab redirects fans to a photo of an engagement ring. To get to the next tab, the user needs to input his or her contact number on the site.

Kelly was born on April 22, 1990, in Houston, Texas. He released his first mixtape in 2006. Some of his other hit songs include "At My Best," "Wild Boy," "Let You Go," "Till I Die," "Mind of a Stoner," "Trap Paris," "Sail," "Habits."
