Lorde recently slammed rumors claiming that she and Jack Antonoff are a couple. The music producer previously dated Lena Dunham.
During a recent interview, the "Royals" singer said that Antonoff is amazing. However, they are just friends. The two have worked closely together, and this could be the reason why fans are convinced that they are an item. Dunham's ex-boyfriend produced Lorde's second studio album Melodrama.
Following his split from Dunham, Antonoff also seemingly denied that he and Lorde were dating. However, the 33-year-old producer did not mention the singer's name in his previous tweet.
"Normally I would never address rumors but I resent having the most important friendships and working relationships in my life reduced to d--- hetero normative gossip. Those relationships are deeply important and sacred. With that said, I'm not seeing anyone," wrote Antonoff.
Lorde split from James Lowe in 2016, and the "Green Light" singer is also rumored to be dating Justin Warren.
Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff Split
Antonoff and Dunham ended their relationship earlier this year. The ex-couple was set up on a blind date by their common friend in 2012. Two years later, Antonoff said during an interview that his first date with Dunham went so well that he decided to tell her everything about himself that night.
Shortly after they started dating, Antonoff moved in with Dunham. Months before their split, he said that his life with Dunham is pretty normal and simple. After five years of dating, fans of the couple thought that they were already planning on getting married. However, they vowed not to tie the knot until same-sex marriage becomes legal in all 50 states.
In June 2015, the Supreme Court granted same-sex marriage in all 50 states, but Dunham and Antonoff still did not get engaged.
"It's hard to imagine when the right time is, because things are so crazy at the moment. It just seems like the most fun thing in the world. I've never met people who have kids who haven't looked me in the eye and been like, 'It's the greatest thing that's ever happened," said Antonoff.
Earlier this month, Dunham said that she underwent hysterectomy. She said that it was one of the most difficult decisions she had to make especially since she wanted to have kids. The actress never revealed whether or not her inability to get pregnant was one of the reasons behind her split from Antonoff.
