It is official. Baby Spice, Scary Spice, Sporty Spice, Ginger Spice, and Posh Spice will reunite as the Spice Girls this year.

In an interview, Mel B confirmed that the 90s pop icons will perform together for the first time in years at the anticipated wedding of the UK's Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle.

Spice Girls Reunion

"I'm going," Mel B (Scary Spice) told the hosts of The Real when asked if she knew anyone who would attend the royal wedding. "I don't know if I should've said that."

After everyone stopped freaking out, the singer clarified that every member of the Spice Girls was handed an invitation to the high-profile event. She also did not deny that the Spice Girls will perform at the wedding's reception.

"I need to go," Mel B added. "I'm going to be fired."

Kensington Palace has yet to confirm or issue a statement regarding the Spice Girls reunion at the royal wedding. Previous reports revealed that Ed Sheeran was asked to perform at the ceremony, although the singer-songwriter has not confirmed yet whether he accepted the situation or not.

Rumors about a Spice Girls reunion have been on overdrive these past few weeks. Earlier this year, word on the web claimed that the pop group will go on a world tour.

Victoria Beckham a.k.a. Posh Spice debunked the reunion rumor, but the group later confirmed that they are working on a new project.

"The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together," they said in a statement. "We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."

Royal Wedding 2018

After announcing their engagement last year, Prince Harry is set to wed fiancée Meghan Markle on May 19, Saturday. The Dean of Windsor will conduct the service while The Archbishop of Canterbury will officiate the couple's vows.

After the ceremony, the husband and wife will partake in a short parade from St. George's Chapel to Windsor Town until they return to Windsor Castle. The first reception will be held at St. George's Hall.

The wedding will be attended by Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and the royal family. Meghan's family will also be in attendance.
