DJ Khaled has shared why he decided to name his 11th studio album after his son Asahd. Father of Asahd will be released this summer.

On Thursday, the award-winning record producer also dropped a two-minute clip filled with home videos of his son. He recorded his message for Asahd and shared how his life changed ever since he became a dad.

"Love turns bad to good, dark to light, losing to winning. Love can change everything. It changed me," said Khaled.

Khaled also said that parents are responsible for giving their kids their names, but Asahd gave him a new title. This is the reason why he decided to call his album Father of Asahd.

DJ Khaled Gushes Over Asahd

This is not the first time that the doting dad gushed over his 16-month-old baby. Last year, the rapper told Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live! why he decided to credit Asahd as an executive producer for his 10th studio album Grateful.

He said that Asahd was always with him at the studio, and the baby listened to all of the songs he recorded.

"He's in the studio listening to songs with me, going over the business part of it, if the vocals are right, if the beats are right, if the energy's right, everything - he's a part of. When he does that, those are smash hit records. If he's not in the studio while we're recording - most of the time he is - but if he's not, I'll FaceTime him and put him on the phone with an artist," said Khaled.

Khaled and Nicole Tuck welcomed their only child in 2016.
