Johnny Marr certainly won't be working with Morrissey anytime soon, and as a result it seems he's looking for other musicians to collaborate with in the near future. Among those possible partners Marr listed was The Vaccines guitarist Justin Hayward-Young and Yeah Yeah Yeahs axe-man Nick Zinner.

What would three guitarists, one from an alternative rock legend (Marr, The Smiths), one from a perpetual winner (Zinner) and one from a rising favorite in the genre (Hayward-Young) do together? Marr isn't quite sure. He's thinking about other things at the moment, but he looks forward to seeing what happens.

"I get so involved in whatever I'm doing and it would take away from the intensity of the solo stuff," Marr explained. "I do invite people on my tour with me, so that takes care of the collaborative urge I have."

The "solo stuff" to which Marr is referring is the follow-up to his 2013 solo debut, "The Messengers." Marr said he gets "bored and restless" when he's not working on music, so he plans on jumping right into the sequel when gets done with his South American tour next spring (hopefully he has better luck than former bandmate Morrissey did on the continent). Awfully quick for a guy that went forever-and-a-half before taking the solo route.

According to Marr, he's already got four good demos in the bag for the next album. In the meantime, if you're lucky enough to live in Europe, you can catch the guitarist on his current tour:
