Alt-J members Joe Newman and Gus Unger-Hamilton have written and recorded the score for the new short film Wander With Me, NME reports.
The film was written and directed by Jon E. Price and is described "a nostalgic and youthful short film between two young mods in a run down working class seaside town. A town where trade, population and morale has dwindled, their relationship is stretched as the girl ponders it over at the water front."
The lyrics of the score are the only words uttered in the film, making it feel almost like a music video for the song.
Alt-J is preparing for the release of their sophomore album, This Is All Yours, which is due out September 22. They have already released two singles from the effort, "Left Hand Free" and the Miley Cyrus-sampling "Hunger Of The Pine."
This Is All Yours follows up 2012's Mercury Prize-winning debut An Awesome Wave. The album will be the first since the departure of guitarist and bassist Gwil Sainsbury, who left the band earlier this year.
The band is set to tour in support of the new record throughout the fall.
