It's high time Mac and Devin got back together (see what we did there). Snoop Dogg announced on Instagram today that he and Wiz Khalifa will reprise their roles as Mac and Devin in a sequel to their 2012 direct-to-DVD stoner comedy Mac and Devin Go To High School.

The Instagram post showed the soundtrack art from the original film with the caption "Pt. 2 Comin jan 2015!!!"

No details have been given on a specific release date other and whether the sequel will follow up on the original plot, which featured the rappers as high school students who like to smoke marijuana.

The song "Young, Wild and Free," by Khalifa and Snoop Dogg from the original soundtrack hit No. 7 in the U.S. No news yet as to what songs they've come up with for the sequel.

The two rappers apparently enjoyed working with each other the last time around.

In a 2012 interview with HipHopDx, Snoop talked about Khalifa's spirit saying, "Wiz loves to smile. He loves to make people happy. He's not afraid to say, 'How you doing?' He's also a realist. There's no wall. When you've got that, that makes it easy. It's very attractive. See, that's like a magnet. People are attracted to that."

Wiz also spoke about Snoop saying, "We just came together at a really good time in my career and a great time in his career, which is like anytime, for real, for real. It just works. That's really my homie. I really look to him for certain things. He looks to me for certain things. We bounce stuff off of each other. It's not one-sided."

We'll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
