Sneaker brand Skechers announced today that multi-platinum pop star Demi Lovato is going to be face of their ad campaign this fall. The 21-year-old "Give Your Heart A Break" singer will be making her debut appearance for the company in a television ad later this year, followed by a series of print ads.

Explaining her partnership with Skechers, Lovato cites her personal attachment to the brand. "My generation grew up with Skechers," she said in a press release. "Now with all of their cool styles and fun colors I'm excited to help introduce the collection to a new generation by sharing this incredible brand's campaign with my Lovatics!"

MTV points out that Lovato has been spotted wearing Skechers out in public, so she' clearly fond of the brand. Famous faces for previous Skechers campaigns have included superstars such as Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, and Britney Spears, so this deal likely means that Lovato's star is on its way up rather than out.

Speaking about their decision to have Lovato represent the brand, Skechers president Michael Greenberg references the brand's previous superstar collaborations. "With her amazing voice, distinct style, and unique personality, Demi Lovato represents everything we look for in a Skechers star," Greenberg said. "Demi's talent certifies her position as a pop music superstar as well as a powerful influencer with millions of fans around the globe. We expect her Skechers campaign will at the very least match the success and reach that Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Carrie Underwood previously brought to our brand."
