A tragedy took place over the weekend at a Jason Aldean concert in Cleveland, ending in a 22-year-old man being found dead in a dumpster, Radio.com reports.

Cory Barron of Fremont, Ohio, was attending Aldean's July 18 concert at Progressive Field when he went missing. A landfill worker found him yesterday (July 22) in New Russia Township, about 40 minutes outside of Cleveland.

According to Cleveland.com, the landfill came from Progressive Field and was accessible by a fifth-level garbage chute. Cleveland police special investigations Commander James Chura said Barron may have crawled or fallen from the access point and plummeted to the dumpster below.

The access point was near Barron's seats, in the upper deck on the stadium's northwest side, Chura said.

A friend of Barron told police that Barron was extremely intoxicated when he was last seen, which was between 8 and 9 p.m. Friday at the stadium before he left his seat to meet up with friends in a different section of the venue. He was reported missing to Cleveland police Saturday.

As Radio.com notes, Barron was identified by his ID and still had his ticket stub on him.

The death is being investigated as a homicide until officials determine otherwise. They will be looking at the stadium's surveillance video for clues on how Barron could've ended up in the dumpster, Chura said.

Aldean took to Twitter yesterday to share his condolences with Barron's family.

"My sincere condolences go out to Cory Barron's family and friends," Aldean wrote. "My heart is heavy for you all and you are in my thoughts and prayers."
