Last night Common stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! and he brought some friends along.

The Chi Town rapper celebrated the release of his tenth solo album, Nobody's Smiling, by hitting the stage alongside, Jhene Aiko and Vince Staples.

Aiko joined the legendary rhymer for a live rendition of "Black Majik" while Staples came out and performed "Kingdom."

"It's more than music, it's a movement," Common said to the crowd gathered around the AT&T Outdoor Stage.

In a previous interview with HipHopDX, Common opened up about his latest album and its importance.

"I feel like this album Nobody's Smiling is throughout all those times in my career that times I looked out and didn't look out and overlooked some things," he explained. "I'm dedicating this album to the city I'm from, the people where I'm from, and to the Hip Hop culture. It gave me a spark to know that an album is a piece of the puzzle in how I can give back. There's some freshness to it like these may be some voices they don't know yet, but will know."

Common released Nobody's Smiling after landing a new deal with Artium/Def Jam and joining forces again with No I.D.

"I'm honored to team up with No I.D. and be a part of the Artium and Def Jam family," Common said in a press release.‎ "Creating this album and signing to Def Jam feels like a new beginning for me. I feel like a new artist because I created this album with the purpose to give back to my city and to the culture of Hip Hop. Def Jam is part of the foundation of hip hop and being able to work with No I.D. was returning to my foundation now with new energy and new hunger."

Nobody's Smiling is available on iTunes now.
