Well Chris Brown assured us that "these girls ain't loyal" but apparently artists aren't either.

Yesterday (July 23) Busta Rhymes announced that he would be parting ways with Cash Money Records after three years and today his former artist Reek Da Villian revealed he signed a deal with Birdman's Rich Gang.

During an interview on This Is 50, Reek made it clear that he is no longer affiliated with Busta's The Conglomerate imprint and confirmed a deal with Birdman.

When asked about his relationship with Busta, Reek explained why he decided to leave his label and insisted there is no beef between the two. He also mentioned that Busta gave him the okay to work as an independent artist.

Reek says he and Busta parted ways after Reek's song and video "Go Off" featuring Kendrick Lamar, Ace Hood and Swizz Beatz was leaked.

Reek claims his former boss had more of a problem with the leak than Kendrick's TDE camp, and fought adamantly to have it taken off the Internet. The video was eventually removed.

He insisted that he doesn't know what caused Busta to react that way but the rapper-turned-label head may be trying to block his blessing.

"I just feel like maybe it's like, 'alright go ahead and do your own thing but you ain't gon leave with this blessing,'" Reek said. "That's the only way I can see it."

During the interview, Reek also opened up about his decision to reshoot his video without Slowbucks.

"Slow is a cool dude, that's my boy but from what happened, I was just like damn I don't wanna be in the middle of that," Reek said, referring to Slowbucks' infamous beef and chain-snatching incident with 50 Cent.
