Dua Lipa names her dream collaborator during a recent interview. The "New Rules" singer said that she wants to release an album with Kevin Parker.
During her interview with Copa90 before her performance at the opening ceremony of the UEFA Champions League Final, Lipa also said that she thinks what Tame Impala, the rock band where Parker serves as a multi-instrumentalist, does is really cool.
After her revelation, Lipa's interviewer admitted to not knowing who Parker is. The "IDGAF" songstress said that he does not need to know who Parker is, but he will definitely do so after their conversation.
The interviewer responded by saying that he thought Lipa would say that she wants to work with Elton John. However, Lipa stuck with her choice and said that she really wants to collaborate with Parker.
Who Is Kevin Parker?
Parker is an Australian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He is best known for being the frontman of Tame Impala, a psychedelic rock band. Parker also produces and writes for his band.
Other than Tame Impala, Parker also served as the drummer of Pond from 2009 to 2011. He is still Pond's record producer and has worked with the band's albums, Beard, Waves, Denims, Hobo Rocket, Man, It Feels Like Space Again, and The Weather.
Parker has collaborated with Lady Gaga, Flaming Lips, Mark Ronson, and more.
Is Kevin Parker Featured On Kanye West's Album?
In related news, Parker also made headlines after rumors swirled that he is featured on Kanye West's album YE. During a recent interview, the 32-year-old musician revealed that he submitted a song to West, and he thought he heard it when he listened to a live stream of the artist's album. However, Parker soon realized that West did not use the track he sent him.
"Oh, he obviously hasn't used it. I hadn't heard anything back and wasn't invited [to Wyoming] - that doesn't bode well," said Parker.
Dua Lipa, Isaac Carew Back Together
Lipa also made headlines after witnesses spotted her in London with her boyfriend Isaac Carew. Last week, there were photographs of the couple on their way to the SoHo House, as well as The Box nightclub, during their night of partying.
The singer and Carew first dated in 2015, and they split two years later. Following their split, Lipa and Carew remained amicable with each other. They recently got back together.
