Sadly, a terminally-ill fan Drake spent the day with has passed. He tweeted his condolences.

"RIP Kennedy. So glad I got to meet you and experience your love for one day," Drake tweeted.

Back in April, Drizzy traveled down to Houston to spend the day with Kennedy Brown, a 15-year-old who suffered from an inoperable cancerous brain tumor.

Her friends took to social media using the hashtag #DrakeForKen to get the rapper's attention and her wish to meet him was granted.

ABC13 reported that after airing their story on Brown, the hashtag went viral trending in Houston and other US cities.

Before her passing, Brown's friends also organized a prom and graduation for Brown. She had been forced to stop attending Carnegie Vanguard High School because of her condition.

They dressed up in gowns, line danced and even crowned Brown prom queen.

"She just lit up. It meant the world to her," friend Julia Dietrich said.

Then-principal Ramon Moss gave her an honorary degree, in her very own graduation ceremony.

Initially, Drake planned to record a personalized video for Brown but instead, he decided to surprise her and pay her a visit.

According to her obituary, Brown passed away peacefully at Houston Hospice on July 19.

She battled brain cancer for nearly 2 years.

Brown had just completed her freshman year at Carnegie Vanguard High School. Her wish was to attend her dad's alma mater, the University of Texas, and ultimately, to become a doctor.

She is survived by her parents, brothers and grandparents.

Drake fans and Houston natives have been tweeting their condolences for Brown.
