T-Boz of TLC wants to put a girl group together, but she has something very particular in mind. The singer went into detail during a recent interview with TheGrio

According to the site, T-Boz has launched TBozProjectNext in attempt to form the next superstar girl group consisting of ladies ages 18-24.

The "Waterfalls" singer is offering fans a chance to audition for the group by submitting a video, 3 minutes or less, showcasing their singing or rapping skills.

T-Boz says the industry is missing something and she hopes to fill that void with this group.

"I think the industry is missing real superstars," she said. "Beyoncé has staying power, and there are certain ones that stand out and are truly superstars. Being a celebrity these days and being popular isn't the same thing as being like Michael Jackson, Madonna or Janet Jackson. What I'm looking for is true raw talent."

When asked if this group will be the next TLC, T-Boz says recreating that group is an impossible task.

"I would never call anybody the next TLC, because I don't think I could do TLC again if I tried to do myself all over again," T-Boz explained. "That was just something unique and special in itself. I think I can take elements that made TLC successful and use those elements in this group."

T-Boz says creating this girl group is a project she's been working on with her brother, and Chili likely won't be involved.

"If she wants to come and join or if she wants to add input that's totally fine with me. But this is actually my team. My brother and I have an endeavor called iCraftMusicGroup and this is our group."

As far as using sex to sell R&B music, T-Boz says its unnecessary.

"It's clear that you can sell albums without selling sex," she said. "I don't have a problem with people who want to do that. I just said if you don't want to, you don't have to. It's a choice. We're living proof that you can sell."
