Los Angeles court grants Adele's request to keep her divorce settlement private, as reported on April 6. The divorce settlement reportedly will entail a whopping £144 million from her husband of three years.

According to sources, there is no pre-nuptial agreement between the two. Under California law, there is a mandatory 6-month waiting period before finalizing a divorce.

The LA judge ruled to allow the appeal, which signified that no "financial, sales, or other confidential business information" will be disclosed to the public. For anyone who wishes to gain access to the details, there is a warning that a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) must be signed. It was what the former couple had wanted. According to sources, the couple committed to keeping the information secret for their son's well-being. It is said that the ex-couple is trying to work out their issues.

The British singer-songwriter and charity boss Simon Konecki were in a relationship for eight years. They bore their only child, Angelo, in 2012. The couple married secretly in 2016. Sadly, the union did not last for long, with their split in April 2019. In September 2019, Adele filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. The former couple has joint custody with their child. They are reported to have amicable terms. Adele purchased a house for Konecki near her Beverly Hills home so he can be closer to their son.

Adele, 31 is known to be very private with regards to her personal life. She confirmed her marriage with the investment banker during her acceptance speech when she bagged the Grammy Award of Record of the Year in 2017. The year before that, their marriage was sealed.

It was reported the separation was triggered by her work schedule, which kept them apart more often. Eventually, they grew apart.  Rumors had it their long-distance relationship was a hint things have turned sour. The singer preferred to settle in LA, while Konecki spent more of his time in the U.K.

An official statement was released in 2019 through Adele's representatives Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh. It said: "Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly." It further stated, "As always, they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment."

The "Rolling in the Deep" singer is said to be one of the U.K.'s wealthiest musical artists. Based on speculations, her approximate worth is $184 million, which makes her second to Ed Sheeran. Her earnings might have gone down since her last album "25" was released five years ago.

In October 2019, rumors went around about the ongoing relationship between Adele and Grime artist, Skepta. The two friends were said to be dating back then. The brief fling with the rapper reportedly had ended.

Adele is making new music and is expected to release a new album this year. In the past, she was quoted as saying that "creating new music is almost like therapy." It further said that she counted 2019 a challenging year for her.
